Andrew East

Andrew East is known as an American football player. He is most famous for being married to Olympic gold medalist, Shawn Johnson.

Background

Andrew east was born on September 17, 1991, in Indianapolis, Indiana. His father, Guy East was a long snapper at Purdue. His mom is Masha East and he has siblings named Guy Jr. East, Grant East, Christine East, and James East. East's adoration for the game of football started since his youth. He was the captain of his high school group and played for Vanderbilt during his college days.

Marriage with Husband Shawn Johnson

Andrew East is married to Olympic gymnastic hero, Shawn Johnson. The two got formally engaged on July 24, 2015 during a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field. The loving couple eventually strolled the wedding passageway on April 16, 2016 in Franklin, Tennessee.

When Andrew was getting ready for his first snap in a NFL game, the former Olympic gymnast, Shawn Johnson East experienced something new at a game, nerves. In tense circumstances as a gymnast, she got confidence from what she controlled. The nerves disappeared as she competed. As she watched her hubby get ready for his game, there was no groundwork for being the spouse of a NFL long-snapper. She took a deep breath and cheered as much as she could.

Career

Andrew was a talented NFL long snapper who has played for many teams including the Washington Redskins, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Rams. In 2015, he made his professional football debut with the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite being undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, Andrew signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on May 11, 2015. On August 30, 2015, he was released by the Chiefs.

On January 4, 2016, he signed a contract with the Seattle Seahawks, however, he was let go on March 24, 2016. In April 2016, he was signed by the Oakland Raiders but was eventually released by the group on August 29, 2016. On March 13, 2017, Andrew signed with the Los Angeles Rams. His time with the group was a short one and he was released by the Rams on May 3, 2017.

Andrew's second stretch with the Raiders started on July 28, 2017, but he was released on September 2, 2017. He was asked to come back and signed a contract with the Raiders on January 19, 2018. In April 2018, he was released again by the Raiders.
