Is Biog a "people search engine"?
No. Biog is not a "people search engine." Google does a fantastic job of finding almost everything on the web, including people. We personally start all of our searches at Google and can't think of a reason to do it anywhere else.
Is Biog available in multiple languages and countries? Biog is available in all countries, but currently it is only available in English. We hope to have more languages available before long. You are, however, free to enter stories and other information in whatever language you like on the site. If you would like to volunteer to add new languages to biog, please contact us at volunteer@biog.org.

What is a Biog connection? A connection in biog is made between two people that know each other (or knew each other in the past). While people have different definitions of knowing another person, we believe that just meeting someone is generally not sufficient for a Biog connection. For example, getting an autograph from a celebrity does not mean that you know him or her.
What are the different types of connections and what do they mean? We have different types of connections that demonstrate how the connection was made. - A mutual connection means that each biog is registered and both parties have agreed that the connection is valid.
- An In or Out connection is a one way connection. If your biog shows an In connection, it means that someone has connected to you, and you have not confirmed the connection. An Out shows a connection that you have made from your registered biog to another biog, and the other party has not confirmed the connection yet.
- A 3rd party connection is a connection between two people that is made by a third party.
- Connections change status if the registered user of a biog confirms a connection. For example, an In connection becomes a Mutual connection as a registered user confirms the connection.
Who can I connect to? You can connect to any person over 18 years old that you know or have known in the past.

Someone connected me to a person that I do not know. How do I delete the connection? Clicking on the Connections tab allows you to edit any connection information on a biog, including deleting a connection.
What are People of Interest? Is this the same as Connections? People of Interest are not the same as Connections. People of Interest may be people that you do not know, but are interested in. For example, Michael Phelps and Barack Obama may be people that you are interested in, but do not know well enough to be in Connections, so you could put them here. Only registered users may edit their People of Interest list.
Why are Danny and Justin in my People of Interest list? Danny and Justin are two of the early volunteers at Biog. We have included them in the People of Interest list of all biogs so that new users can click to their biogs for tips, questions and examples of how to use the site. Registered users can simply remove Danny and Justin from the list by editing the People of Interest list.
